I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for taking this class and putting in the effort that you did. The presentations this past week were great! Special thanks to Bret for putting together the additional JavaScript tutorial for the class!
As a way to wrap up the semester, I'd like to give you the opportunity to provide me with some feedback. If you noticed some room for improvement or liked something in particular, please let me know. All constructive criticism is welcome!
It was a pleasure getting to know all of you and working with you throughout this semester. I would definitely look forward to having any of you as students in a future class! I wish you all the best of luck!
Sincerely,
Rose

JavaScript
We have been spending the last couple of weeks on JavaScript and we will continue to do more with it for the remainder of the semester. So far, the following has been assigned:
JavaScript Quiz #1: http://www.pgrocer.net/Cis44/assignments/JSXHTMLquiz1.html
JavaScript Quiz #2: http://www.pgrocer.net/Cis44/assignments/JSXHTMLquiz2.html
We will be spending time, in class, this coming week to work on JavaScript Quiz #1 and #2.
Please note that JavaScript Quiz #3 has been posted on the pgrocer.net website: http://www.pgrocer.net/Cis44/assignments/JSXHTMLquiz3.html. If you are brave enough, it is ready for you to tackle.
Please keep in mind that I realize that this is a bit challenging for you , especially if you have never programmed before. DON'T LET THIS FRUSTRATE YOU. I will be around to help you get through it! :)
I am planning on being at the Attleboro campus from 3PM to 4PM on the days that we meet, for those of you that may need additional assistance.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 19.
Wedensday, November 26 will be a distance learning class, therefore, we WILL NOT be meeting in person on this date.
Happy coding!
Rose

If you chose to do so, you must indicate to me which project you have incorporated. In order to get credit for the assignment, you should take the requirements to the next level (include work that goes beyond the original assignment).
Please use this space to post your five week project URL for your peers to review and provide constructive feedback.

First Web Project (XHTML and CSS)
This is a five week web page assignment that should incorporate your knowledge of XHTML and CSS. The details of this assignment are posted at http://www.pgrocer.net/Cis44/assignments/fstwebprojS07.html. You should also look at http://www.pgrocer.net/Cis44/evalsites00.html in order to help yourself evaluate your project. If you do not currently have a resource for posting your site online, you may use www.brinkster.com. Be sure to select the "free" developer service. Once your site is complete you should email your live link to me. You may also use this blog to post your link for peer feedback, which is highly recommended.

Good afternoon class!
We will be using this space to discuss this week's lesson. If you noticed the postings on the pgrocer.net website, she requests 2 assignments to be turned in. I am looking to only collect the "Assignment on images and tables". I will be covering frames in class next week.
Please be sure to reference the Tables and Images section of the "XHTML sample code" page. Remember, your goal is to always validate strict, but transitional validation is also acceptable. Transitional just happens to be a more lenient form of validation. Be sure to reference the appropriate code references from the "XHTML sample code" page as you move along. The key is to compare the tag usage. If you notice, several of the "strict" validation references use CSS as opposed to in-line style references.
I will be in and out of the Blog throughout the day and I will be checking it throughout the week as well. I highly encourage you to interact with one another so post away!!

Introduction
This is a blog intended for the Fall 2008 CIS 44 3HA, hybrid class at Bristol Community College. We will be using this space to post questions, comments, feedback, in addition to peer-to-peer assistance. As you may recall, part of your grade depends upon participation. This is one form of participation which is key to your learning experience as part of this course.
